Low business costs

Queensland offers businesses cost advantages comparable on a global scale. Benefits include:

  • lowest rate of payroll tax in Australia

Payroll tax

At just 4.75 per cent, Queensland companies pay the lowest rate of payroll tax in Australia. In addition, this tax is not required to be paid until the total wages and salaries exceed A$1 million per annum.

Labour costs

Salary costs in Queensland compare favourably with other Australian states, with the average wage and salary income for Queensland being significantly lower.

 

Office rental costs

Office rental prices in Queensland are significantly lower than those in many major capital cities around the world.
